“100 Friends 100 Artists 100 Dreams” is an art initiative spearheaded by my good pals at PHUNK and I’m ultra honored to be invited to participate and contribute this year. This project was initiated to build friendships and celebrate creative inspirations amongst the art and design circle.
Conceptualised and curated by PHUNK and art-management.com, “100 Friends 100 Artists 100 Dreams” brings to life the 100 different dreams of well-known artists. The show comprises artists of all ages hailing from Singapore, Hong Kong, Barcelona, China, New York (AHEM!), Bali and Japan as well as across multi-disciplinary practices including illustration, digital media and photography. The exhibition offers a breathtaking view of dreams shared by a diverse range of artists and creative disciplines collected in one gallery.
When you visit the exhibit, you will how a broad concept such as dreams is expressed in a hundred different and unique ways. All of them are vastly different, produced using different media and packed with individual personality. The youngest artist on display is 6-years-old, how inspiring is that! Below are some of my faves:

As the name of the exhibit suggests, “100 Friends 100 Artists 100 Dreams” exhibits one hundred artwork. Many of the artwork really blew me away, these peeps are so creative and mad talented. If you’re an art enthusiast, a design fan, a purveyor of original artwork, please do not miss this lovely exhibit that’s currently ongoing until 7 January 2013. Artworks will be framed and priced at a very affordable S$199 and ready for collection from 16 December 2012 onwards, just in time for the giving season.
With that said, these artwork are limited edition, one-off pieces, collector’s item! I highly urge you to head over to TCC Gallery at 51 Circular Road personally to view them all, as soon as you can.
Anyway, during the launch party I took the opportunity to snap several shots with my good pals, many of whom have also contributed their artwork to this wonderful exhibition.
For all artworks sold, 100 per cent of the proceeds will benefit the non-profit TRANSMISSION: PROJECT, an annual experimental incubator platform founded by the award-winning Singaporean contemporary art and design collective, PHUNK. The 2013 TRANSMISSION: PROJECT will present works of young artists who will be mentored by PHUNK over a one-year apprenticeship program, culminating in a multi-disciplinary exhibition and catalogue.
And hey, don’t forget to check out my artwork while you’re at the “100 Friends 100 Artists 100 Dreams” exhibit.
