Rodarte Spring 2012 RTW

I love how the Rodarte Spring 2012 RTW collection is inspired by Van Gogh’s paintings. Aside from that, I thought the drapings are quite nice too. I *almost* went foraying to get some of the pieces shown below when I was in LA not long ago. Keyword: almost. :p

On the runway:

My favorite piece is the off-shoulder dress with cherry blossoms against turquoise blue print (bottom row, right). I’ve always loved the print and wanna get a poster of it soon.

On canvas:

As we know, the colors that Van Gogh used in most of his paintings are predominantly blue and ochre. Pretty combination, don’t you think? :)
