Following up on my last post about the Mary Chia Spa Party which I put together, after about three stressful weeks in the making, it finally took place on June 16th at the Orchard Point OG location. If you remember my spa party theme, it is “Velvet & Roses” and I have written a background story on why and how I came up with that theme.
The Mary Chia Spa Party I organized recently was a small, cozy, girls only, and by invitation-only exclusive private affair in a space decorated with dreamy balloons and plenty of fresh red roses embellished with bling (hey, we gotta have the bling!). All my gal pals were dressed to the occasion, wearing black and/or red outfits in keeping with the theme. We were a gang of Mafia Princesses that weekend. :) Thanks so much, babes, for making the effort; you gals RAWKED!!! Theme parties are fun that way, aren’t they? My guests were treated to a 30-minute pampering massages (courtesy of Mary Chia), hand paraffin treatment, mini makeover, a noir-style photoshoot and a spread of lovely canapés to nibble on.
< The canapés spread included yummy mini crepes from Robolots, to-die-for bite-sized lava cakes were from Smoulder, while I also made some foie gras and caramelized onion on crackers. Uh huh, my girls deserve only to have the best of the best! I totally got a kick outta the food names: Shuffle My Truffle, Hot Chicks, Gar-Lick My Prawns, What The Foie-G, Lava Luver …. I think they totally went down so well with the overall theme of the mafia princess / badass chicks theme, agree? :) :) :)
The mini makeovers in progress.
It was a rock-star event and all my pretty girl friends made it a seriously smokin’ hawt spa party. *WOOT*
I suppose no party is complete without party favors, aka goodie bags, and my girls were all sent home with a bag full of goodies. Goodie bag contents:
- Anna Sui Jewelry Box and Pocket Mirror
- Milk Shake Active Shampoo – Conditioner – Mask from Komachi The Hair Cult
- REN Face Mask from Escentials (Tangs)
- One-of-a-kind Handmade Jewelry from Euniqyou
- Take 5ive Energy Drink
- Dining voucher from Robolots
- Service Vouchers ($165 value) from Mary Chia
We all had a kickass time and I personally treasure moments like this when girlfriends bond over pampering treatments, food and drinks together. I don’t want to get all sappy or whatever, but I believe we all gals have gone/will go through heartaches, heartbreaks, guy problems, etc. at one point or another in our lives and I feel that most of the time, women are best understood by only women so… it is really a blessing to have good girl friends that can stick through thick and thin together and be one another’s cheerleader. I genuinely appreciate all of my girl friends very much and I hope they all know how lucky I am to have them in my life. :) I LOVE YOU, babes!
