All Hello Kitty fans rejoice! The Spring/Summer 2013 collection from Camomilla Milano features a rich and fun portfolio comprising of adorable Hello Kitty signature shoppers, shoulder and hand bags, totes, party clutches and smaller goods such as wallets, coin purses, pouches and beauty cases. I was at the fashion show cum 30th birthday party event, and got to fondle some of these bags.
I’ve been a major Hello Kitty fan since waaaaaay back. Like, major. I had numerous Hello Kitty items in my apartment; next time I will revive an old blog post I wrote ten years ago to show you the Hello Kitty items I used to own. Over the years I sorta grew out of it though, but Hello Kitty continues to stay trendy and it’s a ubiquitous icon of girly-ness, don’t you agree? Even though I’ve weeded out most of my Hello Kitty possessions, I still cave in from time to time and pick up a small item or two. I think the last Hello Kitty item I purchased was this earphone wire organizer thingie with a cookie-shaped clip that I bought at Sanrio Land in Japan. This cute little thing kept my earphone wire from being a tangled mess. Alas… I brought it with me on one of my overseas trips, tucked it into the seat pocket during a flight and forgot to take it when I got off the plane. :”(
Anyhoo, at the fashion show I spied more than a few cute Hello Kitty bags. Some of the designs are so elegant and not as cartoony either, sporting just the signature Hello Kitty bow only. The bow has become a recognizable motif that is popular with the older gals who don’t want to be caught wearing a cutesy-more-appropriate-for-a-little-girl Hello Kitty item.
Do you recognize the bow?
I love this white puffy series with the squishy bows! These bags are so kyuuuuuute.
It was purely coincidental that I wore my kitty ears hairband to the event (which was a last minute decision to pop by, after another earlier event). I actually didn’t have time to shampoo my hair that day so I tied it up into a bun and don the hairband to create distraction from my sloppiness. Keke~ :x
Posing with the models!
