Cellilux Glacial Clay Mask is the newest way to achieve beautiful skin without any acids or damaging chemicals. The clay comes from glaciers in British Columbia that have formed clay with a very specific mineral composition that contributes to health. This Canadian glacial clay is grey in color, smooth in texture, has no odor, and hardens when exposed to air, making it perfect for clarifying masks. The nutrients and rare glacial water in Cellilux help to reverse damage to your skin and supply the foundation for rebuilding age-defying collagen and elastin, leaving you the smooth, fresh, hydrated, radiant glow of youthful skin renewed. This same glacial clay was used in high end spas in Europe and Japan and was previously not available to the public.
I got to try out this product for over a month now and the first thingkI noticed is that there’s a tingly feeling on the skin during application. It’s not an uncomfortable sensation, it’s more like an icy cool feeling which I welcome tremendously in the daily humidity and heat of Singapore climate. I found out later that this is an effect of the clay removing the toxins blocking the capillaries that supply the blood and nutrients to the lower layers of skin.
Even though I don’t use Cellilux Glacial Clay Mask on a daily basis, I do notice that with each application, my complexion feels smoother to the touch. I don’t personally find it to be hydrating, because as is the case with most mineral clay masks, it has a deep cleansing effect and my face feels tight afterwards. So after I wash off the mask, I make sure I apply my other hydrating/moisturizing products as replenishment.
My personal experience with this mask is a bit of a love hate relationship. On one hand, I like what the mask does and how it feels afterwards. On the other hand, I don’t like the wobbly gel texture because it’s a bit tricky to handle (ie. it often slips off my fingers and onto my bathroom counter). Washing it off is also a messy business because the mask leaves debris all over the sink, which freaks out my OCD-ness. With all that said though, I LOVE what this clay mask does to my face after repeated usage. My skin is indeed smoother and the radiance is gradually showing through.
One of the common skin problems that Cellilux helps to alleviate is acne breakouts as the product integrates rare Deep Sea minerals with vitamins and natural healing antioxidants. This is a hypo allergenic product which is great for even the most sensitive skin. I have been suffering from severe breakouts for a few weeks now, so I used this mask to soothe my skin and to pacify the inflammations. I won’t say that the clay mask itself was effective in getting rid of all my zits totally as I’d have to undergo a complete wellness overhaul (including getting adequate sleep, calming my mind down, watchful over what I eat, ramping up my fluid intake, so on and so forth) in order to revert to having a blemish-free complexion. However, the clay mask’s detoxifying qualities have helped and I feel less stressed knowing that the minerals in the mask are working with the deepest layers of the skin to remove toxins.
