What is love
Oh baby, don’t hurt me
Don’t hurt me no more
What is love
Oh baby, don’t hurt me
Don’t hurt me no more
Oh, I don’t know, what can I do
What else can I say, it’s up to you
I know we’re one, just me and you
I can’t go on
Skull and flowers. The recent holiday break was great for me as I was able to work on my art work with minimal distractions. I named this piece Dead Florists Society, a tongue-in-cheek commentary on my former incarnation as an event florist. I used to know all the flower names like the back of my hand, Stephanotis, Euphorbia, Queen Anne’s Lace, Nerine Lilies, Phalaenopsis, Gypsophila, Anemones, Limonium, etc. coz they were the ‘tools’ that I worked with week after week for four years. I even knew all the different color variants of a rose and could tell you their unique names. Akito, Silverstone, Jade, Osiana, Versilia and my fave, Black Baccara.
These days, I don’t work with flowers anymore. I hardly have fresh flowers displayed in my apartment because for some reason, they fade a little too quickly for me and that is really quite sad.
Details from “Dead Florists Society”. All the elements in this piece are sharp and hi-res. I love how the overall piece turned out because there’s a lot of bright bold colors.
I made two versions of this art work. Light and dark. Which do you like better?
Dead Florists Society, and more of my other original art work, are available as large art prints (sans watermark) on Society6. Check ’em out. :)
