First dance. First love. The time of your life.
I’m such an 80’s kid. I watched Dirty Dancing again over the weekend and I fell in love once more. I watched it in the cinemas twice when it first opened back in 1987 and then rented the DVD countless times from Blockbuster over the years. And I still don’t get tired of that movie. In fact, the older I get the more I enjoy it (admittedly I was way too young when I first watched the movie and couldn’t fully appreciate a lot of the references).
Baby: Me? I’m scared of everything. I’m scared of what I saw, I’m scared of what I did, of who I am, and most of all I’m scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life the way I feel when I’m with you.
The final dance scene [high-quality video]. CLASSIC. ♥
I love how Johnny kisses Baby’s nose before they begin their foxtrot. Also when he mouths “… and I owe it all to you” along with the song to Baby towards the end. It’s so dreamy, my heart does a flip.
The soundtrack also happens to be super kickass, btw.
Johnny: Nobody puts Baby in a corner.
