The Julien Fournie runway presentation during Fide Fashion Weeks French Couture 2012 evening was a fun fun fun party! From the opening music, I was tapping my feet along with the disco tunes and it was such a delight to see the models wearing all these beautiful, colorful outfits sashaying and dancing down the runway.
Julien Fournie‘s pieces were very showy with lots of really fun materials and also bright colors. I loved the styling also from the mock-afro on the models’ hair to the awesome glittery stars that were drawn on their eyes. If you do a Google search, some of these outfits were showcased in other shows before but the styling was much more demure. We in Singapore had a great treat and the runway was transformed into a disco that night. Partaaayyyyyyyy!
This was really a very upbeat show and every outfit was so flamboyant. Even the models’ energy was high, there were smiles all around instead of the usual icy pout and everyone in the crowd had a blast during the show too. I think this is what fashion ought to do, lift one’s moods and allow one to have a great time while looking gorgeous. Rockin’!!!
