Agree or disagree: A flawless back of a woman is a highway that takes the eye to the admiration of a lady’s silhouette.
I feel that a gal’s bare back is the most underplayed asset. Everyone’s always oohing and aahing over cleavage and a smooth bare back gets very little love. I think the back of a woman is very sexy and I, for one, am a huge fan of backless dresses because the femme fatale factor is unleashed only when I turn around. Gotta have a bit of mystery, right? :p
I was rather surprised when I learned that many people in Singapore aren’t all that confident when it comes to their backs. And I was even more surprised to find out that many people have acne breakouts on their backs too. :O Wottt!!? I’m guessing this must be caused by the humid weather, which leads to excess perspiration, causing clogged pores and hair follicles on the back and then BAM! you got yourself a zit parade. I have been blessed with a relatively smooth and blemish-free back, which made it a perfect canvas for my inks. ;) Heh. But I can imagine how uncomfortable and downright frustrating it must be to have a back full of acnes because when you lean back against a chair or lying down in bed, you’re directly putting pressure on those angry zits so it must be damn painful. Ouch!
I suppose you can rely on home remedies such as using a back brush when you shower and use exfoliating body scrub. But it’ll be a whole lot better experience if you can go to a spa and have someone cleanse your back for you, won’t it? As far as I know there hasn’t been a spa that offers a “back facial” including extractions until now. Not long ago, I attended the launch of a brand new Dermalogica product: SkinPerfect Primer SPF30. This product is kinda like an advanced version of a BB Cream and it is a makeup primer plus moisturizer in one. The Dermalogica SkinPerfect Primer SPF30 smoothes away fine lines, brightens and primes for flawless skin and to prep for make-up application, with velvety silicones that creates an instantly smooth surface. I love the velvety finish that this product creates on my face and I have started using this on its own without additional foundation over it, especially because it also contains sunscreen (which I must use). The best part is it has anti-aging properties. *wootz* This is very quickly becoming one of my fave daily go-to products nowadays.
There are still tons of Dermalogica products which I haven’t tried at home yet, but they had been used here and there now and then during my facial treatments when I was in NYC.
