Once a Yankee, always a Yankee, I guess. I sometimes get cravings for spicy buffalo wings, especially on weekends. It’s like, comfort food for me. Especially with celery sticks dipped into blue cheese dressing on the side. *licking lips* In Singapore, there’s another variety of chicken wings which I enjoy tremendously also and that’s Har Jeong Gai (fried chicken wings that’s been marinated in shrimp paste). This weekend though, I decided to make buffalo wings at home to snack on.
I used this McCormick Garlic and Herb Buffalo Wings Seasoning Mix to make it and it couldn’t get any easier. I marinated the chicken wings overnight as per instructions and popped them into the oven for half hour. The flavor wasn’t as hot as I thought it would be, I was rather disappointed by that. Next time I think I will toss the cooked chicken wings in some Tabasco prior to eating them, for that extra peppery kick. The blue cheese dressing was a smashingly yummoliscious condiment though. I mixed blue cheese crumbles into light sour cream and that was it. *thumbs up* Buffalo wings just ain’t the same without blue cheese dip.
Totally digging in with bare hands!
I’m not posting the recipe since it’s available online at the McCormick website. But I can honestly say that this was super easy to make and it hits the spot for me. :)
