I must admit I got rather alarmed taken aback upon realizing that my kitty has turned 9 years old this year. Holy canoly! Next year it’s gonna be the big one-oh for her. It’s a very terrifying thing when you start to think of and talk about things in blocks of ten years. Not for a cat, but for a human!!! Whuattttttttt. TEN YEARS. That’s like, a long ass time. -___-” As you can fathom, one would have (and should have) done a lot of things in the span of a decade. I won’t start spilling the history of what I’ve done in the last ten years here. But one thing is for sure though, time just keeps on moving and we gotta move along with it.
Just for kicks, I dug up self-portraits taken ten years ago and placed them side by side with today’s. For comparison’s sake, I coupled similar ones together – long hair with long hair, tilted face with tilted face, bright light with bright light, half face with half face. The ones on the left were all taken in 2001.
Jeebuz. Difference of ten years not too striking, right? (I hope.) I see that my face has visibly shrunk and looks sharper now even though I can’t quite pinpoint which part exactly looks different and how. Maybe it’s the cheekbones or something, and I can see clearly that my cheeks aren’t as puffy now. *shrug* I guess now that I’m ten years older, the shape of my face has changed naturally by itself – as it should be.
No, I did not get plastic surgery to shave off my jawbone, inject Botox for a sharper jawline or anything like that. I’d never even heard of Botox until maybe like, 2 years ago?!? Though I can honestly declare right here right now that during those ten years (specifically from 2003 to 2007) I wore braces. And I believe that had made my face slimmer.
Getting braces has gotta be one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. Okay, sure my weight has fluctuated like a crazy yo-yo in the last ten years (one day I’ll dig up pix of when I was trying to hit 125 lbs; that’s trying to gain weight, btw). I also have always had a teardrop-shaped face, that always helps but admittedly the braces really got rid of the babyfat around lower cheeks. I don’t know if it’s because of the tension coming from the gums, or because when you have braces you really can’t eat as much as you’d like so you lose some volume on your face thru wearing braces. Either way, anyone who’s had braces before can tell you the same thing, I’m sure. But of course the smaller face is side bonus. The greatest and main payoff from wearing braces should be having straight teeth, hello!
Do you want a smaller face too?
*** GIVEAWAY! GIVEAWAY! GIVEAWAY ***
For those who wants to have a slimmer jawline and a smaller face (in lieu of sending you to an orthodontist and wire you up for braces), I have a box of 2B For Face to giveaway to a lucky blog reader. Yes, it’s another giveaway time, yippetty! :)
2B For Face is a serum that you put on your face twice a day to diminish your prominent jaw line. You can shrink your face using this product as it targets chewing muscle, double chin and droopy face. Get that V-shaped face that you’ve always dreamed of.
Safer and more effective than bone reduction.
Unlike common products in the market that only focus on water retention in the face problems, 2B For Face contains a brand-new French Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, which effectively weakens and thins out chewing muscles that cause a square jaw by topical application. It would make the jawline softer and more feminine. According to plastic surgeons, weakening the chewing muscles is safer and more effective than bone reduction surgery. It effectively resolves different facial problems and is therefore a common practice in Europe.via
2B For Face also contains de-swelling ingredients from the U.S., which accelerate lymphatic circulation and reduce double chin and facial swelling. Besides its re-contouring effect, Lipidure from Japan can also moisturize the skin and reduce wrinkles. Melaclear 2 re-vitalizes the skin texture, leaving the skin velvety, elastic and radiant after use. (I mentioned Melaclear-2 before in this post.)
Basically, think of this product as Botox for your jawline without the needles. Heheh, my jawline is looking juuuuuuust a tad slimmer than the model on the box. }:p Yes, I have used this product myself. I used up two bottles for about a month, measured my face every other day and lost about 1cm total in ten days. This may not be an astounding figure but like I’ve said, I have quite a small face to begin with. Any sharper jawline, I’d start to look like I have been starved or something!!! :X
Why am I giving this away? Because I think the efficacy of this product can benefit someone who needs it more than me. See, I’m so nice. ^_^ I believe this product works and I am curious to see if someone with a more squarish jawline can obtain a much more dramatic result than me. I have a box, containing two bottles to give away. This product is worth US$43 per box so this is a giveaway you don’t want to miss!
