I am excited to share my review of Huxley Secrets of Sahara Sun Cream! I have heard about Huxley for many years now and I am eager to try out their skincare products. But because I’m still in the midst of a skincare regime from a different brand, I don’t want to disrupt the progress of that and decided to try the Huxley Secrets of Sahara Sun Cream first. After all, sunscreen is a staple in my skincare regime and it is a product that I use daily.
Huxley Secrets of Sahara Sun Cream; Stay Sun Safe SPF50 / PA ++++
Packaging: Single Item, S$28.50/35ml
Key Ingredients: Prickly Pear Seed Oil (moisturizing), Cactus Extract (antioxidant), Defensil (helps soothe skin, strengthens skin barrier, reduces skin irritation and red spots), Sepicalm (soothes skin irritated by UV rays and reduces melanin production).
Texture: Cream-type that’s soft and light.
Smell: An uplifting botanical fragrance that smells low-key luxurious.
Application: I apply a small amount of this sun cream on face and neck as the last step of my skincare routine and before makeup. It is very spreadable and my skin absorbs it quickly without streaks.
Observations/Results: This sun cream feels like a moisturizer, which I really really like. It’s light and creamy, and does not leave a shiny sticky sheen. My skin feels hydrated instead of clammy, and I feel assured from its sun protection. Even though the product is white when dispensed, it does not leave a white cast or tint on the face at all. This sun cream is so light, it is suitable for sensitive skin.
Summer has arrived to our doorstep and what’s the best sunscreen to use for protecting our skin? If you live in Singapore like me where it’s summer 365 days of the year, sunscreen is a daily must. I’ve reviewed a variety of sunscreens before and this year I have a bunch of new ones to try out. Some gals buy new clothes for the season, I guess I acquire sunscreens instead? Stay tuned for more sunscreen reviews and do check out related articles I’ve written below:
