PARTY TIME!
Renowned for all things pleasurable and indulgent, Magnum – the ice cream synonymous with indulgent pleasure, threw its most lavish party yet to celebrate its 25th birthday. With its signature pairing of chocolate and ice cream for perfect pleasure, Magnum indulged guests to a night of chocolate decadence and fashion highlights, including the much-anticipated announcement of the return of the Magnum Singapore Pleasure Store at Customs House Terrace.
The chocolate-themed party was decadent through and through, from the incredible party invitation – complete with helium balloons, several dozens of Magnum chocolate bars, champagne, and a leather bracelet with a cute tiny ice cream bar charm, to the grand chocolate fountain at the party venue that used over 260kg of Magnum chocolate, breaking the record for Singapore’s largest chocolate fountain standing at more than 1m tall. In collaboration with 2am:dessertbar Chef/Owner, Janice Wong, and local fashion designer, Pauline Lim of PAULINE.NING, an exclusive Magnum chocolate jewellery collection was launched on the catwalk with PAULINE.NING’s Spring/Summer collection, as well as a Magnum dress, to celebrate indulgence in fashion and luxury.
To top off the birthday celebrations, Magnum also launched its Limited Edition with Marc de Champagne. Encased in a celebratory silver finish of Magnum cracking chocolate, swirls of Marc de Champagne-flavoured sauce weaved through white Marc de Champagne ice cream. This limited edition item even has the perfect packaged party look – a premium and sophisticated silver holographic pack featuring the iconic Magnum M-stamp.
That was the week my iMac died on me and being derailed from work (which was rapidly beginning to snowball towards me) put me in an ultra sulky mood. I wasn’t feeling up for a party but what the heck, it was Friday night and could use some fresh air outside, along with free-flow champagne to temporarily decompress. So I went to the birthday party at Avalon and hung out for a couple of hours before hurrying back home to continue fixing my computer and doing a checklist of what needed to be done so that I could meet my project deadlines. I’d like to say all was well that weekend, but it wasn’t quite my usual routine as I had to send the computer to a repair joined where it stayed overnight until the following Tuesday. Ah well, at least I had an indulgentnight out that week.
