I’m rediscovering the joys of cooking and eating pasta at home. Why? Because it’s so easy and quick to whip up together. Feeling a tad short on time lately and there seems to be a mountain of things to do. But girl’s gotta eat!
For a Monday night of eating in, I didn’t particularly care for anything too elaborate or complicated to prepare. So I decided to make pasta, using the 5-colored pasta which I picked up in Italy. Just a handful of ingredients and dinner’s ready to go.
A traditional pasta of five different flavours, the name “5 Sapori” translates as curls, reflecting the spiral shape of the pasta. This distinctive twirl holds meats, sauces and vegetables really well, and these simple ingredients make for an unusual, yet interesting combination. I made mine with ground beef, chopped onions, a generous sprinkling of mixed spices + herbs, topped with grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
Fuss-free and delicious. :9~
Buon appetito!
