Marks & Spencer launches its fresh food range at their Parkway Parade store with new organic selections. With over 20 organic fresh food selections ranging from fish and milk to fresh fruits and vegetables, ideas are abound on what to shop for and cook at home. I decided to make Mushroom Truffle Soup using Marks & Spencer Organic Chestnut Mushrooms.
Parkway Parade is the 4th M&S store in Singapore to carry fresh food, offering a variety of items and drinks, including sandwiches, prepared salads, fruit and vegetables, meat and dairy, alongside its much-loved prepared meals inspired by world cuisines.
Certified under Singapore’s inspection and certification system, the organic products come from trusted sources where it prohibit Genetically Modified (GM) ingredients alongside hydrogenated fats, controversial preservatives and artificial colourings, as well as the routine use of antibiotics and manufactured herbicides. At the same time, it supports sustainable farming practices, higher animal welfare and a more traceable production process which are better for both animals and us.
I was thinking of what I can make with these new organic selection when I remembered the box of Mushroom Truffle Soup starter kit that my sis gifted me not long ago. That was perfect with Marks & Spencer Organic Chestnut Mushrooms (S$6.50/pack) and Organic Semi Skimmed Milk (S$4.90).

Produced on carefully selected British dairy farms, M&S organic milk is collected daily from cows fed on non-GM feed, that are kept following the highest animal welfare regulations.
Can you hear the sizzle?
All I had to do was sauté chopped mushrooms and onion in a pan of butter, then add the kit’s seasoning packet and organic milk. After which I transferred the mixture into a pot and used an immersion blender to blitz everything.
