Guess who’s the new face for Olay Regenerist products online? Why, it’s me! ^^
It was fun shooting the video because we had a full team of video guys, makeup artist, product trainer, PR manager and sound guy. Video is a relatively new medium for me and I’ve always wanted to explore it. However, I can tell you that it’s nerve-wrecking and we all worked really hard that day. I feel so very blessed to be a part of this and it was a great opportunity for me to learn new things also.
Shooting started bright and early (for me), and I prepped my skin with the Olay Regenerist products prior to putting on light makeup. I had been using the products and test-driving them for a week prior to shooting the video, just so that I could get a feel of what they were like on my skin and to familiarize myself with their functions.
There were lighting equipments, microphones, reflectors, tripods everywhere.
Lights. Cameras. ACTION!!!
My job was to basically provide information and demonstrate the usage of Olay Regenerist products that are featured in the video.
It looks and sounds easy, but I am telling you now it wasn’t. Coz there had to be repeats of the same gestures so that different cameras could obtain footage from varying angles. In some parts I was silently demo-ing the product applications. In other parts, I had to speak while interacting with the products at the same time.
There were a handful products that were used in the video and it was important for me to refer to them by their full names – WHICH WAS REALLY LONG!!! In some sentences I had to mention the product name a couple times, that was quite a tongue-twister for me. :P You try saying “Olay Regenerist Revitalizing Cream Cleanser” like a few times within a sentence. Hahaha.
Here’s another snapshot for the video, in which I basically did what I normally do = geeking out on the computer, either blogging or surfing the internet or pixel-pushing. :) That’s the true documentation of my lifestyle… heh.
By the time we wrapped up shooting, it was getting dark already. We shot from 10am to well past 8pm! We didn’t even have much time for breaks or a proper meal as there was a time crunch (as well as needing to catch the natural light).
Much love and kisses to Fidah who wore many hats that day: project manager, team leader, errand girl, cheerleader, voice coach, script organizer, product trainer, etc. ;P THANK YOU LOADSSS!!!
Also a big shout-out to Rong (director) and his awesome team. These guys worked very hard that day and I am impressed at how professional they were. Thank you so very much.
It was really a fantastic experience for me and I am super thankful for the opportunity. What a way to start my 2013 eh? :) Look Ma, I’m a video star! ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Tons more behind-the-scene photos can be found on my Facebook page – http://www.facebook.com/MBxMB.
By the way, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Olay Regenerist Eye Cream and Lash Serum Duo that I used in the video. It’ll be available in Singapore sometime in March, so please keep a look out for it. It’s an awesome product that conditions your lashes; it worked really well for me personally coz the serum boosts my short and fine eyelashes. I highly recommend!
The other product I enjoy using is the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream Moisturizer. My skin feels a lot more supple and hydrated after using this anti-aging moisturizer; but be warned that it is really a rich cream so just a little bit goes a long way. Use it like the way I demonstrated it in the video to achieve lifting effects on your face! More product info can be found on the Olay Singapore Facebook page.
Last but not least, I am ultra excited to present to you the finished video:
I worked really hard in this video and I sincerely hope that everyone enjoys viewing it. Give it a thumb-up on YouTube please! :D LIKE! SHARE!
