Olive and Green Sprouted Olive Oil Breads

13 October, 2012

I’m not big on bread but once in a while, I do like tearing into a piece of brioche or baguette. Even though I try to go easy on my carb intake, in the mornings I like to nibble on a piece of bread or something so that I don’t get stomach acid. I got to try these organic breads this week, made of extra virgin olive oil and it’s from Olive and Green, a homegrown Singaporean brand.

Made with their signature Hippocrates Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil and organic sprouted wheat, these breads from Olive and Green are 100% vegan and contain more nutrients than any other type of bread currently sold in the market. Also, no sugar, garlic or onions have been added to these breads, and are naturally- sweetened with organic fruits, Jordan dates & nuts.

Olive & Green was founded by Singaporean Desmond Tan about six years ago with the aim of creating healthier-eating options for people. Desmond, a vegan himself, was motivated by his passion to create healthier food options and share them with people to replace with in their existing diet. His immense passion to share nutritional food and healthy-eating tips with people has led him to continue to be at the forefront of food innovation through extensive nutritional research and the strict use of all-natural and organic ingredients in his product innovations. Olive & Green also believes in its efforts in preventing global warming, through providing tasty vegan alternatives without the use of pesticides and chemical additives (which causes water pollution and harms the ozone layer).

For something that’s organic, healthy and preservative-free, these breads are nice and soft. I like that it’s squishy and also not too overly sweet. These breads – in varying flavors such as Blueberry, Chocolate and Date, Flaxseed and Raisin, Cranberry – just to name a few.
