SINGAPORE RESTAURANT WEEK returns for the sixth time this year from 18-24 March 2013 with a bigger selection of quality restaurants in Singapore. Dining in a high quality restaurant is generally an expensive matter, except during the Singapore Restaurant Week. From 18-24 March 2013 high quality restaurants will serve a special 3-course set dinner for a fixed price of S$35++ and 3-course set lunch for S$ 25++. Look through this list of participating restaurants.
Singapore Restaurant Week was first launched in March 2010. The 5th edition took place in October 2012 and over 100 of the Singapore finest restaurants participated, offering nearly 37,000 guests with the specially created Restaurant Week menu. Some restaurants are fully booked within the first few hours of the booking period! All bookings can be made online from 22 February 2013 onwards. American Express Cardmembers (issued directly by Amex in Singapore) will enjoy exclusive booking privileges from 15 February 2013.
If you’ve been meaning to check out some of the fancier restaurants but found them a tad extravagant, Restaurant Week is the best time to book a table as you can get to enjoy the special prix fixe menu (usually featuring the restaurant’s star dishes) at a very affordable price. But you gotta act really fast because there are very limited seatings during Restaurant Week and there are loads of people eager to eat out, so if you don’t book quickly the seats will be sold out.
Reservations for the Singapore Restaurant Week are ONLY possible via www.restaurantweek.sg. Bookings are handled real-time so hurry and reserve your seats now.
Update: After this post was published, I was asked on Twitter which are my top 3 personal choices of restaurants to try. I looked thru all the participating restaurant list again and narrowed down my choices to these:
- Table at 7 (East/West fusion cuisine)
- Kumo (Japanese cuisine)
- Gunther’s (French cuisine)
So who wants to take me out for dinner during Restaurant Week? :) :) :)
Happy eats,
-MB.
